Karling and club manager W. R. Cole of Hender sonville. They stressed the current membership drive going on in American Legion Posts all over the nation. The Legion voted to donate $100 to the Bleacher Fund to help pay j for the bleachers that have been installed on Harmon Field. Leaving For Orient Miss Jane Brown leaves Mon day for a three months tour of the East, including the Hawaiian Islands, Japan, Philippines and Hong Kong, China. She sails from San Francisco, Wednesday morning on the S. S. President Wilson for Honolulu, Hawaii, and Yokohama, Japan she will visit her niece and ne phew, Cap*, and Mrs. T. G. Freda.
